Yes, absolutely false. She was correctly dressed for Singapore's prison, white blouse and pants and bare feet, as all prisoners went, but she would have been hanged instead, Singapore never used an electric chair. But I agree that other than well done it is very hot!

 

I remember when this was published and I still have a copy of the paper. If you look close there is a water fountain in the background.

Glad that this topic resulted in great contributions! I just ask myself about the anticipation picture, which doesn't appears in any Weekly World News?
