Does anybody know accounts of this hanging ?
There was a documentary probably American saying that
During this hanging hoods were stranded to the noose so decapitated head will still be held inside the hood if it happens
Anybody got any information on this detail ?
A bit anal I know but interesting

A number of documentaries appeared about the time 'The Conspirator' was released in 2010.
This is the one, 'The Conspirator: The Plot To Kill Lincoln' that provides this interesting little titbit.
It can be viewed here, the noose detail comes at about 7mins.

That’s where I learned about it but I cannot find reference of it anywhere else

Other executions since
So I wonder if this was an accepted practice at the time

Thank you for the documentary link!
Yes, I've not heard this detail in any other account of the conspirators' execution.
I wonder if it was thrown in as a way to mention the possibility of decapitation in judicial hanging. Also, I'm not sure I buy the narrator's explanation for the removal of their shoes. Once again, it seems like this could have been taking a bit of license, in order to include the detail about loss of bladder and bowel control.
In the account of Eva Dugan's hanging in 1930, her decapitated head rolled to the feet of the spectators, so her hood wasn't attached.
Another person decapitated by the drop was the outlaw, Black Jack Ketchum. In this account, it mentions that his hood was pinned to his shoulder ("the only thing that prevents [his head] from rolling away are the pins keeping the hood connected to the corpse's shoulders")

Perhaps this pre dates the calculated drop as use by the English
Before that decapitation has always been a possibility
