The Adventures of a Lady

That photoset is hot, hot, hot! I especially like them opening her blouse at the neck before noosing her. And the drop is spectacular. I'd love to see the video too.
I agree...but the video seems to be hard to find.
Here's what we know:
In period drama serial The Adventures of a Lady, set during the 18th Century, Lady Anne Howard is given a choice (following the murder of her husband – a crime for which she is prime suspect) of going to the gallows or becoming a spy. Naturally enough she chooses the latter.
Something of a neglected entry in the HTV canon this, little seen apart from occasional glimpses on pay tv in the mid 1990s.
Mel Martin as Lady Ann Howard

I absolutely loved it. Her dress looked awesome while hanging. Hoop skirt?
This one is becoming quite a mystery.
It would seem that this originated as 'Hudson Frontier', which IMDb has as a 1986 series in French produced in France (orig. title 'Les Aventuriers du Nouveau-Monde')
However there is also the IMDb entry for 'The Adventures Of A Lady', the 1987 series in English produced in UK.
They appear to be the same show, but there is no cross-reference mention anywhere to indicate a co-production, twin language versions for separate broadcast, or anything like that.
Either way, they are both proving very elusive!

The captures came from a member here and he said it took him 7 years to hunt down the VHS. I will leave it up to him if he like to share any additional media.
BTW
BE AWARE it might be a party pooper
She was rescued by somebody hiding below the gallows

Indebted to Quad over at TDS for posting this link, which seems to be the most comprehensive rundown for this to date.
It indicates a multi-national co-production probably intended for broadcast in multiple countries.
All, it would appear, with different titles and identities; here it is called 'Frontiers', a 1984 series from Canada

May I know what is the story line of this movie? And why is such an elegant well dressed lady hangs at the end of the rope for execution?
m179au, thank you for this video!
The quality is excellent. The execution scene begins at 37:27.
I'm sure that Aristarchus will soon produce the definitive edit...

Thanks for the video m179au - it's great quality
As for the scene, I loved the build up - a great reaction from her when she is bound and noosed.
My only complaint is they skimped on the angles when she was on the platform

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I wouldn't be making many alterations to what's already been presented.
I suspected from viewing the screenshots, that this was of that era when TV was reticent of showing the rope around the neck.
But nevertheless it's turned out to be a well staged scene.
Many thanks, m179au.
