Can anyone recommend a movie/clip/account of where one receives her death sentence. I can recall a few I've seen; however, cannot recall which movie. One I can recall, the judge places a black piece of cloth on his head before pronouncing the sentence.
Oh yes one good one is an axe and block execution in the lady and the highwayman, online somewhere I am sure, I am on a plane right now so hard to look up, but she is sentenced in exactly that way and she is pretty in a gorgeous dress but unfortunately doesn’t go to the block in it and doesn’t lose her head, saved at the last minute
Cribb - Waxwork has an excellent treatment of the death sentence:

I see that Paul already has it:

The donning of the black cap is a tradition peculiar to British law and continued right up to abolition.
I believe it still constitutes an official part of a High Court judge's regalia.
If you wish to see it's use in a relatively modern setting, I recommend one of my favourites 'The 7th Dawn'.
The lovely Capucine is framed, but nevertheless convicted and sentenced for terrorist offences during the Malayan Emergency in the 1950s.

That's a great William Holden movie. But of course none of the hanging is shown.
Yes sorry, perhaps should've mentioned that. But I love it for the scenes of Capucine in her prison smock in the condemned cell.
And it IS the movie with the (in)famous sequence where Bill Holden chances upon the delightful Susannah York skinny-dipping off the jungle beach!

There is this one, however the sentence is quickly commuted. I couldn't find the clip, that I know I've seen, but the sentence scene is from 3:16-5:36:

I do love the dress and waist chain, though.

Almost all Indian hanging scenes will have a protracted sentencing. For the Indian shows featured on Themis, many of them will have entire episodes revolving around the courtroom
Receiving death sentence is an essential part of the movie/series. One good example and my favourite is The Other Side of Midnight. Here is a couple of vidcaps.

This is a Chinese TV-series about female prison and guards. Three Ladies are escorted to the van which will take to the execution site and lethal injection.

Also the moment when the guard comes and says ”It is the time” is important. One of my favourites is Gumrah. Bonus is the evil type guard.
