While executions are the most interesting aesthetically and emotionally, I also like the more conventional damsel in distress scenarios. I particularly like the idea of a plucky reporter/amateur getting discovered by the bad guys, taken to a pier with her ankles tied to a cinder block and menaced by a beautiful and cruel female mobster who smokes and taunts the intrepid reporter, gradually moving the cinder block with her foot.

Anyone else have a peril/damsel scenario they like?
