It briefly starts at Chapter 1 where Mary-Anne Morgan was about to be executed by hanging.

And then in Chapter 13, it was resume since the beginning in Chapter 1, Mary-Anne was executed.

Apparently, Mary-Anne has survive the hanging for the bit. As she was about to be hit by the wall of fire, Alyonubis Le Clere save Mary-Anne just in time.
