Particularly of interest are any that feature a "walk of shame" to an execution site where they can be jeered at or the public display of a severed head
In searching I have found a treasure trove of vintage shibari art, some of which is execution-thened

I had a whole set of those on my PC, and one day the whole set disappeared, do you have any idea where I might find them on my set titles etc
I think it would be a worthwhile project to try to find more execution/shibari images in this genre
Yes yes YES! This is what I'm looking for! If anyone has more in this vein PLEASE SHARE!!!!
A bit of Hari Kari with a good friend to finish you off

I understand that women were allowed to sever one of the big veins in their throat
I have never seen a throat cut Seppuku except in a movie several years ago. Shogun I think

Yeah, that was what I heard too - it was unladylike to disembowel themselves, though it was either slitting their throat and then the same or just stabbing themselves in the heart but not carving themselves open. They also bound their legs to avoid splaying them out when they fell over, as I understand.
Of course, the simpler 'disembowel self' version is more widely known, and since most people know of stuff like this by essentially pop culture or "cool facts" stories that don't delve into the details... *shrug*
Do you know who the people are in image 4 konaron? Or where you found the image?
