Stupor mundi is a 1998 feature film directed by Pasquale Squitieri, based on the dramatic poem Ager sanguinis by Aurelio Pes.
The title is a reference to the nickname stupor mundi, with which Emperor Frederick II of Swabia was called in medieval times. The film was commissioned by the then president of the Federico II Foundation, Nicola Cristaldi, for the 900th anniversary of the Sicilian Parliament.
