A third Eternal Dread game was released two days ago on Steam. Like in the previous games, your character can get herself hanged by attacking allies (if you kill several of them).
I thought it was well done and would recommend the games for a lot of execution-style death scenes.
Unlike the first two, in this one, the barrel won't be kicked from under her till you press a key (the '1' key).

Ah, consequences for an RPG hero doing crimes! Wish more games were willing to go for a Game Over like that if you misbehave enough.

Hanging was also pretty good - simple setup, looped animation and choking sounds but it's a cheap game so not surprised. Does exactly what you expect.
