The trailer for the new film has just been released.

At 30 seconds in, wee see Madame Du Barry in what appears to be a prison scene. I can only assume this is a depiction of her incarceration prior to going to the guillotine.

Therefore, it looks promising that there will be a guillotine scene in this movie. The actress portraying her is gorgeous. This could be an all time spectacular!

Sorry, I can't seem to find the scene in question. It all looks like Versailles and her life before.

Reviews are in and it looks bad from out perspective :-(

"Mme du Barry is supposed to be a rebel, although apart from causing some flutter among the courtiers with her gender-dissident clothes, and of course by simply existing, she never seriously challenges anything about court life at all. (Like Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, incidentally, this film finishes well before the guillotine finale.) ..."

Regrettably, I am inclined to agree with you.

Having conducted a bit mire research, it does look as though their will be no Grand Denouement on Madame Guillotine!

BUT- Ridley Scott's Napoleon promises much. I believe the opening scene portrays an aristocratic women mounting the scaffold to be savagely guillotined.
