Occurs to me 'zee5.onelink' is a global redirect service with a staggered connection activation depending on your local timezone.
So some people get through before others.

Amusingly it would explain your problem, Paul.
Your VPN is interrogating the site "Where in the world are you, so I can switch to you?"
While at the same time 'onelink' is asking your VPN "Where are you, so I can redirect to you?"
And they end up getting their knickers in a twist cross-questioning one another.
