Oh yes. Absolutely loved this opening scene ever since seeing it when the movie first came out. The senorita is presumably being taken to be lynched.
Biggest tease ever, as it has NOTHING to do with the story, a modern day crime thriller set in Japan.
Turns out it's just the video playing on a nightclub's karaoke screen, as background to 'Don't Fence Me In'.
While the main story progresses, if you keep watching the TV monitors you'll see she eventually gets rescued.
As consolation, very soon you get treated to a tasty strangulation scene in the story proper.

IMHO, the book (the novel) is better than the movie. Certainly there is some difference between them because there is different time and there are different devices.
