This one, a favourite of mine, already features on the site:-
https://themiscollection.com/set/Pyar_Ka_Saudagar
But many thanks for giving me the opportunity to recount why a mysterious curiosity about this fascinates me so much. (If you've got half an hour to spare!)
It is noted that the movie was made in two languages, Hindi and Bengali. But it would appear that all the dialogue scenes for the second film feature different shots and camera angles. And all the other non-dialogue scenes were also re-shot. If done concurrently, why?
Since the Bengali film, titled 'Se Aamar Prem' was not released until ten(!) years later, perhaps the real answer is that the second film was entirely re-made at that time. So did they actually re-assemble the whole cast, crew and sets to re-shoot a decade on?
Whatever the explanation, unfortunately there no longer seems to be a complete copy of the Bengali version online.
However, by a final bizarre twist, this version was subsequently dubbed back into Hindi (for whatever reason!),
and released as 'Pyar Ke Kitne Effects', and also 'Dirty Love'. Both of which CAN be found on YouTube!

Take a look at either, or both, compare with 'Pyar Ka Saudagar' and enjoy two versions of the same hanging.
