This may be an unusual topic, but I'm too curious to not bring it up.

Am I the only one who wonders about the psychological reasons for our fetish?
Why are people into this?
My question would be, if anyone has thought about this and maybe has come to some conclusions.
Or alternatively, has anyone ever stumbled over psychological literature about this fetish?
Has this been looked into scientifically, at all at some point?

I have some personal theories about the psychological causes, but would like to see first, if any people are interested in this topic, beside me.

Additional question:
Why is an execution fetish so often connected with a foot fetish?

 

I strongly believe it depends on purely random or unlucky factors.
It happened that someone was hanged barefoot because he was poor,
or else he would leave them to someone else, since he no longer needed them.
