Does anyone recognize this scene? I've been looking for the movie title for a while. Please let me know if you have any clues.

It' a French tv movie from the late seventies / early eighties. By memory, a group of religious fanatics impal 2 women they accuse of whichcraft or prostitution (or both). This is one of the early scene, used to set up the background.

I remember seeing that on TV as a teenager. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the movie.

I also recall seeing this a long time ago, though I completely forgot where it was. Looking at the style of the clothing in the image, I agree with your suggestion—it is highly likely to be a French movie or TV production.
