It’s a wild night at Ahmed’s mansion. At some point, Menna starts partying with the dashing playboy. Ahmed tries to get naughty with Menna and she makes but a faint effort to discourage him.

“Not so fast, pretty boy! Do you have something to stir us up?” Menna says while fondling his hair. Ahmed smiles, knowing where this is headed. “You got to work for it, doll. It doesn’t come cheap.”

Menna goes on her knees and blows him. As he finishes, Ahmed pulls her chin up. “That’s too easy for a woman like you. Try something harder now. Kiss my feet!” Menna swallows her pride and bends down to obey his order, but Ahmed just laughs and sits back over a table so she can perform better.

As soon as Menna starts her degrading task, the doors to Ahmed’s room are sprung open and the rest of the party people enter. Some of them laugh, others are disgusted, while quite a few take photos with their cell phones to share on social networks. Menna is crushed by this utter public humiliation!

When Ahmed and his guest have their fill making fun of Menna, he throws a bag of cocaine at her. Menna quickly grabs a nearby mirror and sloppily snorts the bag’s contents. The substance makes her feel exhilarated, powerful. While looking for an handkerchief inside a drawer, Menna finds a different thing…

Mmmm...I am afraid that all this ain't going to end up well for one of them...

Menna admires the weapon with a crazed look. "I'm going to make that son of a bitch pay for the humiliation he put me through! I'm going to make him crawl!" She interrupts the party with the revolver in hand, making the guests run scared and threatening the terrified playboy. "C-calm down, please!", he begs. She laughs, "On the floor! Now!"

“I feel like walking all over you! Let’s see how you take it!” Ahmed cowers on the floor while Menna steps on him with high heels. “You are trash! You deserve to die!” Ignoring his pleas, she shoots him in the face, killing him instantly. Menna gloats triumphantly until the police crashes into the mansion, arresting her.

After some time in jail, Menna’s mediatic trial begins. She is made to wear a white uniform that brands her as a defendant. She is appointed a lawyer called Donia. When she is taken to court, Menna remains locked in a kind of cage where defendants have to sit. Cameras flash at her while she is inside, recording her expression of sheer terror when the prosecutor demands the death penalty for her!

Donia is confident she can get Menna a fair chance since she was under the influence of substances when the crime was committed, but the defendant spends the rest of the trial terrified and constantly harassed by sensationalist photographers who gather around her cage. Despite Donia’s best efforts, she ends up being sentenced to death for the murder of Ahmed. Before Menna is transported to prison, Donia apologizes and asks her not to lose hope since she will file a mercy plea in her name.

The next day, the newspapers inform about Menna’s sentencing. True to her promise, Donia gives a press conference announcing she will continue to fight to overturn the unjust and inadequate sentence of the court. Meanwhile, Menna is transferred to a special block in prison, where she is kept under close surveillance. She dons a red uniform mandatory for all women sentenced to death. Her cell is bare, except for a mattress and a necessity bucket, and only has a small, barred window that barely lets the sunlight inside.

The story carries elements of the egyptian procedure, yes, but I leave the country unnamed

Hey great story. Would you continue!

I am working on it :)

Menna dreads every time she has to use the necessity bucket because the door is made of steel bars and any passing guard can see her relieving herself. When fear and desperation overtake her, the condemned woman lies on her mattress and cries silently, facing the wall of her cell not to show how vulnerable she is. The darkness of the night brings what little privacy Menna is entitled to: that’s when she sometimes turns away from the door and cheats loneliness by pleasuring herself after lights out.

After some months of grueling wait, Menna gets a visit from Donia with news regarding the procedures of her mercy plea. The lawyer brings bad news: Menna’s plea is rejected and the sentence of the court is upheld. Donia cannot even hug her client to give her the consolation of a human touch, as they are separated by the thick plexiglass of the maximum security visiting room. Instead, while the lawyer once again apologizes for her failure, the prison photographer snaps a few shots of the sorrowful reunion. On the next day, news outlets show that heart wrenching moment.

One day, Menna is paired with a newcomer while the guards get a cell sorted for her. Eager for company, Menna immediately starts chatting and learns she is called Yousra, was just transferred from a provincial jail and is, like her, sentenced to death. Trying to console her, Menna assures Yousra she will be treated humanely by the personnel. They both share the stories of their misfortunes, and after Menna tells hers, Yousra opens up about her own tragedy.

Yousra tells Menna of her husband Khalil, who repeatedly cheated on her with a red haired woman. One night, Yousra followed her husband to the motel where he met with his lover and broke into their room with a dagger in hand. The naked redhead escaped in a panic, but Khalil stayed back and tried to talk Yousra to calm down. Unfortunately for him, she was irate beyond reasoning and stabbed him through the heart in a fit of rage.

As Yousra tearfully finishes her story, the guards return and announce the cell is ready for her to be transferred to. Yousra stands and the two women in red share a heartfelt hug in silence. Menna whispers “God be with you” and kisses her cheek before Yousra is escorted away by the guards. Suddenly, Menna realizes she is all alone again in a cell that grew bigger… and that Yousra was probably the last person, aside from the guards, that she will ever see in life.

A few weeks later, Yousra is awakened in the early hours of the morning, manacled and taken from her cell to the execution chamber. The unfortunate woman is startled to see the noose waiting to be placed around her neck. The executioner pushes her forward, making her stand barefoot in the middle of the wooden trapdoor. Without delay, a black hood is placed over her head.

The hood is pulled down over Yousra’s face and the noose adjusted around her slender neck, the knot positioned over her left shoulder. The executioner’s assistant holds poor Yousra while the hangman prepares to pull the lever. Within seconds from death, Yousra begs aloud for God to forgive her! The assistant steps back from the trap as the lever is pulled, and Yousra plummets down into the pit, her fall being brutally halted by the stretched rope!

Despite the tremendous yank of the noose around her neck, Yousra’s body still reacted while dangling in the pit. Her legs swung back and forth, toes stretched as if trying to reach support. After a few seconds she stopped wriggling and just hung from the swinging rope, suffering a few spasms and quivers and wetting the cement floor underneath her when she lost control of her bladder. Poor Yousra had served her sentence...

After months of tedious waiting, Menna is unexpectedly awakened one morning at the break of dawn. A hooded man dressed in dark enters her cell and orders her to stand up. The poor woman is so incapacitated by fear that it’s up to him to lift her from her mattress. Grabbing her by the arms, the executioner faces her and says firmly: "Menna Nabil, your time has come. Do not resist."

The executioner turns her towards the corner of her cell and deftly pulls her arms back. In a matter of seconds, her wrists are crossed in the small of her back and strapped tight by a black leather belt. Then, the executioner takes her out of the cell and after walking down the hallway in a few quick steps, makes her enter the gallows room. Confronted with the noose, Menna can only shiver and whimper in fear.

Taking advantage of Menna's stupor, the executioner pushes her forward. As her bare foot touches the wooden trapdoor, Menna manages to say "Please... No...". But before she can react, she is already positioned in the center of the trapdoor, and her ankles are strapped together with a second black leather belt. The executioner wastes no time and pulls a black hood over Menna’s terrified face.

The descrition of the whole procedure seems do comprehensive that I wonder if the author of the article hasn't endured in person a similar experience whatsoever in Egypt, for instance.

Let's say that the author had the help of a great research team, made of experts in Middle East procedures :)

The executioner places the noose around Menna's neck and steps back from the trapdoor to stand near the gallows lever. Menna's last seconds in this world are spent shivering alone in darkness, feeling utterly forsaken by humanity. These endless seconds are enough for the poor woman to urinate herself out of fear, a puddle forming on the wooden surface. When the lever is finally pulled and the trapdoor is opened, Menna plummets with a scream, cut silent by the rope that stops her fall.

Menna’s body refuses to give in without a struggle. Her feet briefly search for support, both front and back. Then in a last reflexive effort for survival, she pointlessly raises her knees towards her chest. At last, surrendering to the deadly grip of the noose, Menna's contortions subside and she lets herself hang, swinging gently until she becomes completely still.

One hour later, the hangman unlocks the gallows pit and strips Menna’s corpse while it is still hanging, bundling her soiled uniform in a corner of the room, to be disposed of. Then her naked body is lowered to the cement floor, still wearing the hood and the noose around her stretched neck. The executioner bends over to remove the rope, but before he proceeds to it, he pulls the black hood from her head, revealing her last expression: her eyes are wide open in an empty stare and her tongue is protruding from between her lips.

After being cleaned and washed, Menna’s body is transported to the prison morgue and laid in a cold steel slab inside the freezer room. She is covered by a rough sheet, except for her feet, which the mortician must tag with her identification data. Later on that same evening, her case makes news for the last time when anchors in national TV channels announce she was executed by hanging early in the morning, in accordance to the lawful sentence passed by the court. Justice was served.
