Surprised none of our East European colleagues have spotted this before.
Hetman was apparently an historic title denoting a supreme commander. One such holder in the 17th century was Bohdan Khmelnytsky, the subject of this TV mini-series.
Unfortunately I don't know the language, so cannot explain what the lady in this sequence has done to incur the Hetman’s displeasure.
Suffice to say, she gets to swing for it.
