I wrote this story at the request of a lady reader of Execution Tales - as you can see she really likes getting her hair done. The name of the main character has been changed to protect the not so innocent lady who asked me to do this. I have done this a couple of times now on request & am happy to consider all such requests - the only condition is that I find the story line appealing also
Execution of Anna Lindquist

On the 22nd of December 1942 Anna Lindquist sat on death row in Plotzensee prison in Berlin. She had been arrested & condemned to death for being part of the Soviet spy ring the Rote Kapelle or “Red Orchestra”. Anna was 45 & originally from Denmark however she had lived & worked in Germany for many years.
She looked up as the door to her cell opened & a striking looking tall blonde female SS Officer entered. Oberst Heidi Shmidt was resplendent in her best dress uniform of black cap, jacket & skirt, crisp white blouse, black tie & knee length black leather boots
The SS woman spoke to the prisoner, “Well Anna I am here to tell you that your appeal against the death sentence has been refused & that you will be executed in approximately two hours”.
Anna gasped her hand involuntarily going to her neck. She whimpered in dread as she learned that she was now definitely going to be beheaded
Schmidt continued, “Four traitors are going to the guillotine today. You will be the last after Elisabeth Schumacher, Ilse Stobe & Libertas Schulze-Boysen. I have already been to see them & told them that their sentences have been confirmed & I also prepared them for the guillotine. Now I need to do the same with you”.
Anna her voice trembling replied, “What do you mean by prepare me?”
The Oberst pulled out a large pair of scissors & a razor from the bag she was carrying & smiled grimly as she spoke, “I need to cut your hair so that nothing interferes with the blade as it falls. Now sit up straight”.
Feeling she had no choice Anna did as she was told. Schmidt moved behind her & begin to cut her hair at the back. The SS woman loved this part of a female execution as she was a sadistic bi-sexual. As she worked she could feel the lovely familiar tingling feeling in her groin.
As Anna’s blonde slightly greying hair fell to the floor & the trembling nape of her neck became fully visible the Oberst said, “You have a lovely neck Anna. Such a shame it will soon be severed by the blade of the guillotine”. As she spoke she gently caressed & squeezed the back of the condemned woman’s neck”.
The SS woman continued, “We decided to execute last because you were one of the senior figures in the spy ring. Very soon you will be able to hear your comrades being dragged to their deaths one after the other – I do hope they struggle, scream & plead for mercy! Then it will be your turn. The guards will come for you & take you to the execution chamber. The first time they see the guillotine many prisoners’ legs seem to turn to jelly & they have to be supported by the guards. I wonder will you be like that Anna? Or will you be brave? I somehow doubt it”
Schmidt went on, “Then you will be taken to the guillotine & strapped to the bascule. Your head will be secured beneath the blade. The executioner will raise the blade & then look at me waiting for my signal to release it. Imagine your terror Anna as you wait for it to drop. My guess is that you will be struggling against the straps & screaming in terror. Then I nod, the blade crashes down & your severed head drops into the basket”
Anna began to cry silently as her terror grew & her entire body began to shiver.
Once Schmidt was satisfied with her work she took out two hand mirrors from her bag to let the doomed woman see what the back of her head & neck now looked like
Anna sobbed audibly as she saw her shaved neck. The hair had been taken away to half way up the back of her head
The SS woman said, “Well that’s you ready Anna. I will leave now but I will see you again in the death chamber”
On that note the Oberst picked up her bag & left the cell closing the door behind her leaving the terror- stricken prisoner to contemplate her fate

An hour passes all too quickly & then Anna hears noises coming from the corridor outside the cell. Elisabeth Schumacher is being taken to the death chamber. She closes her eyes & tries not to listen to the pleading & crying of the doomed woman as she is dragged to the guillotine.
The door at the end of the corridor is left open by the guards on purpose so that the other condemned prisoners can hear what is happening in the execution chamber
Elisabeth’s wailing increases to a high-pitched screaming as she is strapped to the bascule & her head is placed under the blade & secured. The ear-splitting shrieks are mercifully brought to a sudden end as the blade falls & the prisoner’s head drops into the basket placed next to the guillotine for exactly that purpose
At approximately twenty-minute intervals Anna is forced to listen to the executions of Ilse Stobe & Libertas Schulze-Boysen. The pattern is similar, the pleading, the terrified sobbing & wailing brutally cut short by the thump of the falling blade
Anna tries & fails to compose herself, she knows they will be coming for her shortly

In the execution chamber Oberst Heidi Shmidt was to put it mildly feeling very tingly
The female SS Officer sighed & said to herself, “God I love female executions, especially when the prisoner struggles & pleads for mercy”.
She looked across at her fellow male SS colleague & occasional lover & smiled to herself as she could see that he was in a similar state of excitement. Oberst Hans Blofeld’s right hand was pushed deeply into his pocket & he was obviously having fun
She thought “Oh God tonight is going to be marvellous. Three down & one to go”.

The door to Anna’s cell is thrown open & two large male prison guards come in. They go to the terrified woman & force her to her feet.
Anna pleads “Oh God! Please have mercy! I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die!” Her voice breaks & she starts to sob uncontrollably.
Ignoring her pleas the guards quickly & expertly handcuff her hands behind her back. They take a firm grip of her arms, one to each side & drag the now struggling prisoner from the cell, down the corridor & into the death chamber
When Anna sees the guillotine & the executioner in his top & formal morning suit with tails & white gloves her legs fail her & she groans piteously. She is only kept standing by the guards holding her up
As the fourth prisoner enters the room the rate of movement of Schmidt’s & Blofield’s rate of breathing increases
Like the other prisoners the still attractive Anna is wearing a standard white knee length prison smock which leaves her shoulders & neck bare. She looks across at the watching SS officers & realises that they are thoroughly enjoying the scene being played out before them. Despite her terror Anna feels a tingle of excitement at the thought of spectators being turned on by her execution
The guards half carry her to the guillotine & lift her onto the bascule & force her head under the blade. The executioner pulls down the wooden crosspiece with a gap for the blade to pass through & fixes it ensuring that the prisoner’s shaking & shaven neck is held secure
The guards hold Anna’s writhing & kicking body in place as the executioner straps her legs at the knees holding her smock in place – modesty & decency must be preserved after all. He then puts a further strap round the condemned woman’s waist & pulls it tight
The terrified woman’s screams echo round the death chamber as the executioner slowly pulls the blade up to the top of the guillotine. Anna knows exactly what he is doing as she can feel the movement above her through the wooden frame.
Once this is done for the fourth time that day he looks across at Oberst Schmidt waiting for the signal to release the deadly cutting implement
She nods her head & the blade falls. For a split-second Anna’s screams reach a blood curdling crescendo as she feels the vibration of the knife as it rushes towards her shaking shaven neck & then she is silenced forever
The two SS officers lit cigarettes. Blofeld blew out some smoke & said. “I think we should retire to our office Oberst so that we can write the report on the executions of these traitors while it is still fresh in our minds”.
“I agree Herr Oberst”, Shmidt replied
They then left the chamber made their way to the office they shared went in & locked the door behind them after having put a “Do not disturb” sign on the outside of the door
