The Burning of Four Young Beauties

Ever since the military revolution that had overthrown the old government, those who were perceived to be of the privileged upper class became the targets of violence and even execution if they were deemed a threat to the nation’s stability.
This morning, four young women were set to burn alive for their ties to the old entertainment industry. Their deaths would serve to usher in a new era of propaganda and censorship, and to add insult to injury, the event would be recorded and televised for every household to see.
At roughly nine o’clock, the four were marched single file into one of the capital city’s many public squares, and forced to mount the expansive pyre that would catch their charred remains by the end of the day.
The first to be tied to her stake was an actress named Rose. As befitting her name, she wore a red dress that accentuated every curve of her desirable body. She’d once made a career out of playing seductive femme fatales, but her current expression suggested a pious girl who was completely resigned to her fate.
To Rose’s right stood Tiffany, a professional dancer whose videos had attracted countless views before her channel was deactivated by the government. Today, she was dressed in a trendy white t-shirt and ripped jeans, both of which would burn away quickly once the flames got going, thus exposing her toned and athletic body to viewers at home.
The third woman was none other than the socialite Coco. Shock and apprehension painted her face as she pulled against her restraints, well aware that this was no publicity stunt, and her hours were numbered.
Last of all was the nineteen-year-old pop idol Celeste. She wore a modest blue and white dress, with the only indication of rebellion being the tattoo above her right ankle. Nobody knew for sure why she’d been arrested, but rumor had it that she’d refused to perform a song for the new president and would now pay the ultimate price for her defiance.
A camera crew arrived on the scene to begin filming the spectacle, and after the sentences had been read and a priest delivered a eulogy, four flaming torches came down in succession to light the pyres of the young women.
Smoke rose to the sound of coughs, screams, and struggles, until four beautiful and naked bodies were completely ablaze. The socialite Coco was first to perish as her slender arms were burned right down to the bone and broke away from her shoulders, causing her to plummet straight into the roaring sea of flames.
Next to go was Rose, whose ample breasts continued to roast even after her dainty throat had sealed up and ensured her death from suffocation. It wasn’t long before her sensuous features faded away and she became a charred corpse with no distinguishing characteristics.
Beside her, the horribly disfigured Tiffany twitched and writhed while engulfed from head to toe in flames. The former dancer's back began to contract before her arms shrunk and twisted into a pugilistic stance, as if she was trying to resist arrest one last time.
As the bodies of the other three women fell apart, Celeste gave a desperate gasp for air, then succumbed to her fiery fate as well. Her glossy black hair was reduced to dull wisps, and her eyes, which were once full of hope and innocence, melted away and flowed down her scorched cheeks as streams of viscous fluid.
Thusly, the four separate pyres combined to form one large bonfire spanning almost the entire width of the public square. In its midst, the crumpled remains of Rose, Tiffany, Coco, and Celeste became little more than blackened bones and ash, doomed to be swept into a single pile and disposed of without any regard for their once distinct identities.
