Fact: The actress in that scene, Yuko Takeuchi found hanging in her house 2 years after that series, in 2020.

Yes, I’ve only subsequently come to realise how well-known Yuko Takeuchi was.
Starting with the fabled 'Ring', the original one in 1998, she went on to appear in numerous shows, including the American 'Flash Forward' (anyone else remember that?).
Highly acclaimed and successful, in 2020 just 9 months after the birth of her second child, tragically she was found hanged in her home.
Though there was nothing to confirm, it has been presumed to be suicide.
