In this scene it is not Luisa Sanfelice , but Eleonora Pimentel who is executed , she is hanged at a gallows which is especially high so that people can see under her shirt : She asks for trousers which are refused to her .....

I just read the book by Alexandre Dumas : Luisa Sanfelice is beheaded at the end of the novel .... it is a very bloody and unprofessional execution : I never saw the movie , so I do not know if this scene is in it

 

I was aware of that it's not Luisa herself. However the movie is titled "Luisa Sanfelice", so i added a comment that the hanged girl is Luisa's friend. Thanks for the character name though; it will be added to the scene comment.

I'll check on the beheading scene. There seems to be one based on production photos from the movie.

Btw Max, I found the beheading scene of Luisa, I'll post it in a bit. It's actually a botched beheading. The executioner struck Luisa's shoulder instead of her neck and then he had to finish the job by slashing her throat with a small knife. ~_~

 

Luisa is executed 6 months later than Leonora : She was pregnant and they waited until she gave birth to her child (which was dead-born)
