looking for a literary basis for the film "Desert Rose" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp19RNTCdlI

Not totally certain what you are looking for as a 'literary basis'.
I can offer that 'Die Wustenrose' was a two-part TVM produced for ZDF in Germany in 2000.
A fairly substantial synopsis can be found with the aid of translation here:-

The caps that we have onsite come from the only available clip from that time,
which was a poor quality recording from the TV transmission.
Having waited patiently for 19 years, we eventually got a DVD release providing a welcome improved upgraded version:-

Many thanks ! I assume that the film was shot based on some kind of novel and was interested in the title and the name of the author (I like thematic and near-thematic texts) Special thanks for the video

Yes, I explored that avenue of thought.
The only credits I found give the screenplay written by Evelyn Holst, but also significantly 'from an idea by' Nico Dekker and Mees Xteen.
All three are known as writers, but it rather looks as though the story did originate as a movie project.
