I'm kind of puzzled by the almost yearly new depictions of Mary Queen of Scots execution - gratified to be sure, but still kind of puzzled by the fascination she draws from the movie-making world.

This is really interesting - hope some more comes out soon.

To me, Charlotte Corday and other French Revolution ladie are more interesting.

You know what's a stink though? In the movie In Secret, loosely based on Therese Requin, http://celebrity.wikia.com/wiki/Guillotine_(illusion)

It says Therese is publicly guillotined, but according to the wikipedia it says she's poisoned like in the book. Either it's a mistyping and they mean the old woman, and not Therese.

Or Wikipedia is being deceptive.:/

A lot of things on celebrity.wikia are total bull.

Did some background research, the lady in The Frogs And The Lobsters was actually shot. Which is fine, this happened during the revolution too: though I don't like how some places use The Guillotine as a metaphor, rather than a lady legit having her head chopped off.

I hope the Marie Stuart doesn't dissappoint, though it seems like one of the reason historical figures where adaptions her execution doesn't.
